The Latin American Institute of Labor Law and Social Security aims to:

1.- Promote the scientific, academic, research and professional improvement of its members through forums, congresses, courses and academic exchanges.
2.- The compilation, classification and updating of Latin American labor legislation on labor, social security and other related matters.
3.- Promote the creation and exchange of ideas and publications of a labor law and social security nature among associates and with associations and institutions related to ILTRAS.
4.- Promote the dissemination of the specialized works of its associates, as well as disseminate those research works within the framework of labor and social security issues.

The stated objectives are illustrative and not limiting, so that the Latin American Institute of Labor Law and Social Security will carry out all the positive acts and steps that are within its reach for the greater rapprochement between Ibero-American laborists, in the first place, and those belonging to other regions, as well as serving the interests of their societies and of all those in the orbit of Labor and Social Security.
